The DM411 combines a Matica heavy-duty embossing mechanism with Data Matrix code integration, giving you a durable, reliable, machine-readable 2D code on metal tags without the cost of a laser marking system. Drawing on Cancard's experience supplying embossers to automotive, steel fabrication, and aerospace customers, this combination was built to solve a specific problem: a mark that survives severe environments and stays readable after downstream processes like heat treating, painting, and sandblasting.

The DM411 produces 2D Data Matrix codes with human-readable characters at up to 110 tags per hour, holding up to 64 characters in any one of three dot sizes. Windows-based software automatically converts your selected data fields into Data Matrix format, including UID (Unique Identification) formatting for asset tracking and compliance applications.

Built on Matica's heavy-duty embossing platform — high-torque motor, high-percussion embossing arm, hardened drum, and a universal plate feeder that adapts to varying plate sizes and shapes — the DM411 personalizes plates across steel, iron, aluminum, and bronze with the durability that platform is known for.
